The last couple of Christmas' have been so different for me. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it never felt like it was the Christmas season. Maybe I was still adjusting to marriage and sharing time between our families. Maybe it was because my parents moved and Christmas wasn't spent in the home I had spent almost every other Christmas. Maybe I was simply distracted by all of the hustle and bustle of the holiday season. But this year I'm feeling the spirit of Christmas so strongly. I've been anxiously waiting for Christmas for 2 months now. I've had overwhelming feelings of gratitude and love, and those feelings grow stronger and stronger each day that Christmas comes closer. I can hardly wait to head to Gridley tomorrow to spend the holidays with our families. The time spent with family is so precious to me and I plan on loving every minute of it.
