But in the spirit of the Thanksgiving holiday, I bring you Turkey Cupcakes! Not turkey flavored....just turkey cuteness. These were a blast to create and made me laugh and smile as they started to come together. Even if we don't have a traditional Thanksgiving, I'm thankful that these little guys bring a smile to my face! Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving Joys and Woes
Thanksgiving is in just a couple of days, but it doesn't feel that way. Maybe that's because Thanksgiving is an American holiday and we're in Australia. Maybe that's because it is nearly summer and the temperature is in the mid 70's or higher. Or maybe that's because we won't be celebrating with dear family and friends. I'm thinking that all three are to blame. Since we don't have any time off on Thursday to cook an elaborate feast, we plan to make a miniature feast on Saturday for the two of us....I've never prepared a Thanksgiving feast before....wish me luck.

The wheels on the bus
We all know that they go 'round and round.' But what about the people on the bus. I am not one for remembering many songs from my childhood but I doubt the song accurately described 'the people.' It rained today so I took the bus to school and to meet Jacquie downtown. Today 'the people' on the bus went flex flex flex and looked at their biceps as they held on to the handles in the overcrowded bus. The people on the bus went like like like as they talked on their blue tooth wired smart phones. They also went breathe breathe breathe on the back of my neck after unfortunately forgetting to brush brush brush. And for the 45 minute journey from campus to downtown the people went slurp slurp slurp undoubtedly trying to remove a T-Bone steak from between their teeth. I am always entertained when I take the bus and look forward to many more rainy days!
