Oh yuck! Two different kinds of ugly knobs, awful paint job, and a disgusting smell. We found this hidden beauty at a local thrift store. We knew it had great potential. Here is the finished product!
After more than a year, Garrett and I finally finished it! It had over a year to air out and yes, the smell is gone. This dresser has been sitting on our patio the entire year! We sanded it, then took a break. We primed it, then got frustrated and took a break. We painted it, but the color wasn't what I wanted, got even more frustrated, and took a break. Yesterday we cleaned, repainted, attached handles, took no breaks, and are now enjoying it! I love it so much!
We bought these wonderful drawer handles in Rexburg at one of my favorite stores, Porters. Oh how I miss having that store just a block away from me! Anyway, they were brown wrought iron handles, so I painted them black to match our bedroom.
We have a hutch that goes on top of the dresser, but it too must be refinished. I plan on finishing it tomorrow. I sure hope it doesn't take nearly as long to finish that! Pray for me! ;)
