I think some people need a reminder of this. It bugs me to no end both as a driver and as a cyclist.
"When you are making a right turn and are within 200 feet of the corner or other driveway entrance, you must enter the bicycle lane only after ensuring there is no bicycle traffic, and then make the turn. Do not drive in the bicycle lane at any other time." - California Driver Handbook
I feel better now.

ReplyDeleteI yell about this all the time. "That's NOT a lane!" is what I always yell to those sneaky people trying to create a new one out of the bike lane... grr.
